Live TV & Program Guide
Phyn brings the classic television experience into the modern era with full support for Jellyfin Live TV. Whether you're catching the local news, watching a live sporting event, or browsing your favorite cable channels, Phyn provides a rich, colorful, and intuitive interface to manage your live broadcasts.
How to Access Live TV
There are two primary ways to jump into your live streams quickly:
Side Navigation Menu: Open the side drawer (where your Movies and TV libraries are listed) and select Live TV. This will take you to the main Live TV landing page.
Home Page: Look for the "On Air Now" row directly on your Phyn homescreen for instant access to top-trending live content without any extra clicks.
A Rich & Colorful Guide π¨
Once you enter the Live TV section, you are greeted with a high-fidelity Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
On Air Now: The landing page of the Live TV menu immediately showcases what is currently broadcasting across all your channels.
Visual Discovery: Phyn uses rich channel logos and colorful program posters to make browsing through the schedule a visual delight.
Program Details: Tap on any upcoming show to see a detailed synopsis, air times, and cast information.
Key Features
Instant Playback
See something you like on the "On Air Now" row? Tap it to start the stream instantly. Phynβs native player handles live streams with minimal buffering, ensuring you don't miss a second of the action.
Multitasking with PiP
On supported devices, you can use Picture-in-Picture to keep your live game or news broadcast running in a small window while you browse other libraries or use different apps.
Native Controls
Adjust audio tracks or toggle subtitles for live broadcasts directly within the player interface, just as you would with your local movie files.
Setting Up Live TV on Your Server βοΈ
Please note that Phyn is a client application and does not provide TV channels itself. You must configure the Live TV source (such as an HDHomeRun, M3U tuner, or IPTV provider) on your Jellyfin server first.
For a detailed walkthrough on how to set up tuners and XMLTV listings on your server, please refer to the official Jellyfin documentation:

Troubleshooting
"Live TV" is missing from my menu: Ensure that your Jellyfin user account has "Enable Live TV" permissions checked in the server's dashboard.
No guide data is appearing: Verify that your XMLTV or electronic guide source is correctly mapped within the Jellyfin server settings.
Playback Issues: If a live stream is lagging, it may be due to server transcoding. Try adjusting the playback quality in the Phyn player settings.
